Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, says President Donald Trump of the United States invaded Venezuela and captured its President without the approval of Congress.
Sani made this statement in a post on his verified X handle
on Saturday.
Trump on Saturday announced the capture of Venezuelan
President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
Reacting, the former lawmaker said, “Mr Trump condemned Bush
for removing Sadam and condemned Obama for removing Gadhafi. Here is Mr Trump
acting without Congressional consent or approval, and without regard for
International law and respect for the sovereignty of Venezuela.
“He invaded Venezuela and removed their President.I would
like history and posterity to record me as one who has unreservedly condemned
this action that doesn’t reflect the interest and wishes of the good people of
United States.”
