President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent his Senior Special Assistant on Media Affairs, Malam Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, to Kano State to personally deliver condolences to Mallam Haruna Bashir, whose wife and six children were brutally murdered in their home last week.
Malam Abdulaziz, representing the President, visited the grieving family at Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters, where the tragic incident occurred on January 17, 2026.
He conveyed President Tinubu's deep sympathy to Mallam Haruna and the extended family over the horrific killing of Fatima Abubakar (35) and their six children by assailants who forced entry into the residence.
The presidential aide assured the family that President Tinubu has directed security agencies to act swiftly to bring the perpetrators to justice.
He highlighted the rapid response by the Kano State Police Command, which arrested three suspects including the alleged ringleader, a nephew of the deceased shortly after the crime, following intelligence-led efforts.
The President has ordered a comprehensive investigation and prosecution to ensure full accountability under the law.
In addition to the condolence visit for the murdered family, Malam Abdulaziz also paid respects to the family of the late Dr. Bature Abdulaziz (Alhaji Bature Abdulaziz), a prominent Kano businessman and trade leader who passed away three days ago after a brief illness.
He conveyed President Tinubu's condolences to the relatives and associates, acknowledging the deceased's significant contributions to commerce and national unity.
During both visits, Malam Abdulaziz offered prayers for Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant mercy and eternal rest to the departed souls, and to grant strength and solace to the bereaved families.
These visits reflect the Federal Government's commitment to standing with Nigerians in moments of profound loss and ensuring justice prevails.
