Vice President Kashim Shettima, together with key senior government officials, participated in the Hadiza Bala Usman @50 Governance Colloquium held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

The colloquium, themed "Leadership, Delivery & the Courage to Serve," served as both a celebration of Hadiza Bala Usman’s 50th birthday and a platform for in-depth discussions on public service, accountability, institutional reform, results-based governance, and effective leadership in Nigeria.
Hadiza Bala Usman, who serves as Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), was at the centre of the gathering, which featured keynote addresses, panel sessions, and reflections on advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda through courageous and delivery-focused public service.
The strong presence of the Vice President and top government functionaries highlighted the importance attached to the forum and its focus on strengthening governance and leadership capacity in Nigeria.
