Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday warned Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State against his fight with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
Fayose warned Fubara that the price of peace is cheaper than the consequences of war.
In an interview with Arise Television, Fayose informed Fubara that he can’t take away the power of the State House of Assembly.
His remark comes as the Rivers State House of Assembly initiated the process to impeach Fubara for misappropriation.
Fayose said: “It doesn’t have to be said in spiritual, but it is an advanced warning. So I’m telling him that there is a window, there is ample opportunity for you to close this and solve this problem.
“The price for peace is cheaper than the consequences of war. If you don’t do it, it will be only be left in the hands of God.
“Because you can’t take away the powers of the House of Assembly. During my first tenure, I inherited the House of Assembly of the APC in Ekiti.
“Because our election is the off-season election, it was a tough experience, they would have taken me out the second time. I had to use wisdom, carrot and stick.
“I had to manage everybody for me to survive. So that’s what I meant by that.”
