The Ondo police command says it has arrested Ademola Joshua, a 55-year-old man, for allegedly impersonating a minor.
A statement by Abayomi Jimoh, the command spokesperson, said

Jimoh said the incident was reported on January 4 by a man

unlawful sexual activities with his niece.
The spokesperson said the act was uncovered after inquiries
were made into the cause of the victim’s pregnancy.
“Upon receipt of this disturbing report, the case was
immediately referred to the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) unit of the command for
discreet and thorough investigation,” Jimoh said.
“The suspect is currently in custody and will be charged to
court upon the conclusion of investigations.”
Jimoh noted the command’s commitment to protecting the

He said the police would ensure that perpetrators of sexual
and gender-based violence face the full weight of the law without compromise.
The spokesperson noted that the arrest aligns with the
