Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and President Bola Tinubu's Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, paid a joint condolence visit to former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki following the passing of his father-in-law, Otunba (Dr.) Adekunle Ojora.
The renowned industrialist, Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife, died peacefully at 93 on January 28, 2026. He was buried the following day in Lagos according to Islamic rites, with dignitaries including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in attendance.
Social media footage showed the warm reception as Dr. Saraki hosted the visitors, highlighting unity across Nigeria's political spectrum during personal loss. Obi represented opposition voices, while Gbajabiamila attended as a senior figure in the current administration.
Otunba Ojora, father of Mrs. Toyin Ojora-Saraki (Dr. Saraki's wife), was widely respected as a philanthropist, boardroom leader, and elder statesman from the Lagos royal family. Tributes have poured in, praising his legacy of dignity, generosity, and contributions to business and community life.
