Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar headlined a distinguished gathering of Nigeria's political elite on Saturday as they joined other prominent leaders to honor Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at a high-profile leadership colloquium marking his 60th birthday.
The event, held at the New Event Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, was themed “Leadership, Service and Statesmanship at 60”. It served as a platform to celebrate Tambuwal's extensive contributions to Nigeria's legislative development, democratic progress, and public service.
Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi was also in attendance, alongside a constellation of past and present leaders.
The colloquium featured reflections on leadership, democracy, and nation-building, highlighting Tambuwal's journey from a four-term member of the House of Representatives (representing Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency) to Speaker of the House, two-term Governor of Sokoto State, and his current role as Senator representing Sokoto South.
