Dunsin Oyekan, the gospel singer, has released a new song titled ‘Amen,’ featuring Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Oyekan announced the release of the collaborative track in
an Instagram post on Friday, describing it as an exceedingly “blessed work”.
He shared a touching anecdote from the recording process,
recalling how the clergyman sought his assurance.
“I remembered Daddy asking me if what He did on the song is
good enough, I told him “daddy even if you coughed in it, it’s a blessing
already,” he wrote.
“I have personally basked so much on this and I have been
blessed exceedingly. Now it’s your turn!”
The spiritual anthem opens with soulful melodies of
thanksgiving for divine blessings.
It builds into a powerful declaration of faith, with Oyekan
singing, “Alleluia to the One who opens His arms / And satisfies every living
thing… Your prayers are answered”.
The track reaches a profound peak with the entrance of
Adeboye’s calm, solemn baritone voice.
The cleric delivers a heartfelt fatherly blessing, praying
over listeners for rest, promotion, anointing, and greatness.
“I want you to receive a father’s blessing/ From the God
that I serve,” Adeboye intones.
“In the Name that is above every other name/ It will be
wonderful for you for the rest of your life/ My God will stand by you, He will
support you/ He will promote you, He will defend you/He will anoint each and
every one of you for exploits/ You will be great/ God will open mighty doors of
blessings to you.”
