Kaduna on Track for 2.5 Million APC Registrations – Gov Uba Sani

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has commended the impressive early momentum in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) nationwide e-registration exercise, affirming that the state is well-positioned to meet or exceed its ambitious target of 2.5 million registered members.

In statements made on Sunday, January 18, 2026, following a briefing from the Kaduna State APC E-Registration Committee, Governor Sani highlighted that "in fewer than five days from commencement, Kaduna State has recorded significant progress in new and updated registrations and is on track to achieve the 2.5 million target."

He attributed this rapid uptake to growing public confidence in the APC, renewed enthusiasm for inclusive governance under his administration, and strong alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The governor expressed particular encouragement from stakeholder feedback praising the administration’s focus on fairness, equity, justice, revitalization of key sectors, enhanced peace and security, and rebuilding trust among the people.

The remarks came amid a series of high-level engagements with APC stakeholders across the state’s three senatorial zones.

At a well-attended forum with leaders from Kaduna Zone Two (covering areas such as Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chikun, Kajuru, Igabi, Birnin Gwari, and Giwa local government areas), Governor Sani facilitated discussions centered on reflection, renewal, and strategic realignment for the party.

He emphasized the importance of reviewing the APC’s journey, assessing achievements, pinpointing areas for renewed attention, and upholding unity and discipline as essential for the party’s continued relevance and electoral strength.

The governor urged all members to actively participate in the e-registration drive to strengthen party structures from the grassroots and expand support base ahead of future elections.

Governor Sani has positioned the e-registration as a key demonstration of APC dominance in Kaduna, linking the target to widespread defections from opposition parties, driven by his inclusive development model and federal projects attracted under President Tinubu, including N1 billion support for the Kaduna Light Rail and upcoming major initiatives like a large-scale poultry project.

The nationwide APC e-registration, aimed at digitally verifying and expanding membership (requiring NIN and VIN for validation), is scheduled to conclude on January 30, 2026.

Kaduna’s strong showing positions it as one of the leading states in the exercise, reinforcing the party’s momentum in the North-West zone.
