Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has reacted to the decision of Chelsea to sack Enzo Maresca as manager.
Chelsea announced on Thursday that the Italian would no longer be their manager in less than six months after he won the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Conference League.
Chelsea started the season well but faced challenges in December, with just six points from their six games and ended up 15 points behind the top team in the Premier League, Arsenal.
Maresca’s relationship with the Chelsea management team at Stamford Bridge began to worsen, and Nevin mentioned that Chelsea often hire and fire managers without much thought.
Chelsea will play Manchester City this weekend and speaking ahead of the game, Guardiola was asked about Maresca leaving Stamford Bridge and he said, “Let me say… Chelsea from my point of view have lost an incredible, incredible manager, an incredible person.
“But it’s a decision from the hierarchy of Chelsea, so nothing to add”.
