Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has formally launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) digital membership registration exercise in Wukari Local Government Area.
The event, held on Thursday at the Wukari council secretariat, aims to modernize the party’s membership system through electronic registration.Governor Kefas described the initiative as a major step toward ensuring fairness, credibility, and transparency for all APC members in Taraba State.
He explained that the digital process will capture members’ details electronically, officially recognizing them as verified party members.
The governor emphasized that participation in the e-registration is mandatory, stating clearly that no member will be revalidated without completing the digital registration.
He particularly urged women whom he called the "backbone and chief mobilizers" of the party to take active part in the exercise. Kefas reaffirmed his administration’s strong commitment to supporting and increasing women’s involvement in politics and party activities.
The governor expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing and driving the nationwide digital registration initiative, as well as for entrusting state governors with its successful implementation.
He also commended the APC National Chairman for his consistent efforts to strengthen and unify the party.
Taraba State APC Chairman, Barrister El-Sudi Ibrahim, described the digital registration as a landmark development that will reinforce the party’s internal structures, enhance transparency, and position the APC for stronger performance in future elections.
He praised Governor Kefas and the e-registration committee for their dedication.
Earlier, Ayuba Ambo, Zonal Administrator of the APC e-registration exercise, provided updates on the ongoing process across the zone and appealed for additional support to enable the committee to register more members effectively and efficiently.
Party members across Taraba State are encouraged to participate promptly in the mandatory digital registration to secure their official status and full participation in party affairs.
