Zlatan Ibile, the Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, has clarified the nature of his relationship with Davita Lamai, the mother of his children, saying she is not yet his wife.
The clarification came during a recent interactive session
with fans on social media. A fan inquired, “I hope your wife is doing fine,
sir?” prompting a direct response from the artiste.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, Zlatan addressed the
query, writing, “She’s the mother of my kids, but she’s not my wife yet, she’s
fine”.
The statement confirms that while he and Davita, 27, share a
deep, long-term partnership and a family, they are not formally married.
The couple has been in a steady relationship for several
years and is parents to two sons, Shiloh and Benaiah.
Zlatan, who first rose to major prominence with his debut
studio album in 2019, is celebrated for hits such as ‘Zanku’, ‘Shotan’, and
‘Lagos Anthem’.
He is known for his energetic delivery and street
credibility. He continues to ride the wave of his unique sound, which fuses
Afrobeats, hip-hop, and indigenous rhythms.
His successful career, marked by numerous awards, continues
with recent projects, including the 2025 release ‘Symbol of Hope’.
Lamai, on the other hand, is a UK-based influencer known for
her stylishness. She holds a degree from the University of Birmingham.
