A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State, Bashir Ahmad, has alleged that the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has given conditions to align with other political parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Reports are indicating that Kwankwaso, who was the
presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP may soon defect
to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, a party adopted by the opposition
leaders plotting President Bola Tinubu’s removal.
However, in a post on his Facebook page, Bashir alleged that Kwankwaso and his supporters are currently seeking a platform to align
with.
He, however, said the former Kano State Governor insisted
that he must be offered either the Presidential or Vice Presidential slot.
He wrote, “Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his Kwankwasiyya
movement are shopping for a political platform to enter into a coalition with,
but on the condition that he be offered either the Presidential or Vice
Presidential slot as the basis for cooperation”.
