Troops Repel Boko Haram Attack in Adamawa Border Village

Troops of Operation Hadarin Kai, in coordination with other security forces and Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) members, successfully repelled an attempted attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists on Mayo Ladde village in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025, in the border community that links Askira/Uba LGA in Borno State with the Sambisa Forest axis, a known hideout for terrorist elements.

According to security sources, the troops received a distress call and promptly mobilised to confront the insurgents.

"The terrorists attempted to overrun the village but were met with fierce resistance from the troops, who engaged them decisively and forced them to withdraw in disarray," the source stated.

No casualties were recorded on either side, as villagers had reportedly fled the area upon sighting the approaching terrorists.

Following the repulsion, troops have intensified patrols, surveillance, and dominance operations in the general area and along border communities to prevent further incursions and restrict terrorist movement.

Operation Hadarin Kai reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to sustained offensive actions against Boko Haram and ISWAP remnants, aimed at restoring lasting peace and protecting lives and property across the North-East region.
