Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church, widely known as Winners Chapel, has welcomed the United States’ military intervention in Nigeria.
No fewer than 12 Tomahawk missiles were fired by the US
military into terrorists’ camps in Sokoto State on Christmas night.
The airstrikes ordered by President Donald Trump in
collaboration with the Nigerian government has brought relief to Nigerians as
it signals possible end to the decade-long security issues.
Reacting to the development on Sunday, Oyedepo thanked God
for bringing judgment into the camp of the daredevil killers.
According to Oyedepo, those sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria
are now hiding, stating that for the first time in 20 years, the assailants are
now feeling the heat.
He said, “I like us not to forget to give thanks to God for
the sudden turnaround in Nigeria, for the first time in nearly 20 years, the
persecutors are smelling because the Holy Ghost called for a seven midnight
prayer raid.
“You were part of it and the result is here today. All those
who make others mourn, they will mourn, all those who slaughtered the children
of others, their own will be slaughtered.
“Judgment has begun. Give thanks to God for stepping into
the affairs of Nigeria.
“All their sponsors are now hiding, fire is burning and
judgment has landed. For the first time, the persecutors are now becoming
persecuted”.
