The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully conducted a precision air strike, eliminating terrorists and destroying a key logistics base in the Southern Tumbuns region of Borno State, North-East Nigeria.
The operation took place on December 14, 2025, at Dabar Masara, a known terrorist enclave, aimed at disrupting insurgent supply lines and operational capabilities.
According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, the strike was prompted by reliable intelligence reports of a terrorist workshop and ongoing movements of armed fighters in the area.
The Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai employed a combined package of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions with targeted strikes.Ejodame stated: "Earlier ISR operations detected persistent terrorist activity in the vicinity, including a cluster of vehicles hidden under dense vegetation, verifying the site as a vital logistics hub."
Additional surveillance on the day of the attack confirmed terrorists actively maneuvering around the concealed vehicles."After thorough identification and full compliance with Rules of Engagement, the targets were struck," he noted.
Battle Damage Assessment following the operation verified the destruction of the vehicles and the neutralization of several terrorist fighters.This mission highlights the NAF's dedication to precision, intelligence-led airstrikes in aid of broader national counterterrorism efforts to dismantle insurgent networks and bolster regional security.
The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to collaborating with other military branches to sustain operations against terrorism.
