Habeeb ‘Peller’ Hamzat, the TikTok personality, has issued an apology after crashing his car during a live stream, an act that led to his arrest by the police in Lagos.
The dangerous stunt, which occurred on Sunday, was condemned
by authorities. The police described the action as “extremely dangerous,”
warning it could have had fatal consequences for the influencer and the public.
The police thereafter transferred the case to the State
Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
In a video shared on Instagram on Friday, the TikToker
expressed remorse over the incident, admitting that he allowed his emotions to
get the better of him.
“I am sorry for everything I did, please I am sorry. I let
my emotions get to me that is why I did what I did,” he said.
“I am very sorry please, you can call me anything, abuse me.
I am sorry, I did not do it intentionally, please forgive me. Please do not
bully Jarvis anymore, leave her, this matter does not concern her, it is all on
me.”
Peller, who appears to have been released following his
arrest, posted again on Instagram, promising never to repeat such actions.
“I am sorry you all, please I will never do such thing
again. I am very very sorry, once I am done with my medication, I will be
back,” he wrote.
Amid the controversy, Jarvis confirmed that the two had
already ended their relationship prior to the incident.
