Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has spoken publicly for the first time since the controversy involving him and his wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, began trending online.
On Wednesday, the singer posted a brief and distressing message on his Instagram Story: “Help me.”
The post came just hours after his younger brother, Hyacinth Idibia, expressed deep concern on Instagram, quoting lyrics from one of 2Face’s own songs alongside a heartfelt plea.
“You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant. Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it’s unfolding in real time… Painful reality. Allow us save you. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows,” Hyacinth wrote.
The developments follow weeks of public drama between 2Face and Osawaru. Tension reportedly started during a trip to the United Kingdom, where a heated exchange allegedly led to police intervention and the singer’s brief arrest.
The couple’s troubles spilled into public view again during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where they were seen arguing on camera.
The incidents have sparked widespread concern among fans about the state of the marriage and the singer’s well-being.
As of the time of this report, neither 2Face nor Natasha Osawaru has released a detailed statement addressing the situation.
