Armed gunmen have kidnapped Mr Sanusi Usman, a son of the late District Head of Wako in Kwali Area Council, Federal Capital Territory.
The abduction occurred on Monday night at about 8:00 pm in Kwaita-Tsoho community when a large number of gunmen stormed the victim’s residence and whisked him away in a hail of gunfire.
A relative of the victim, Ibrahim Yakubu, told Daily Trust that the attackers invaded Sanusi Usman’s home and took him away at gunpoint.Another resident of Kwaita-Tsoho, Habaku Daniel, said the entire community was thrown into panic as heavy gunfire echoed through the area, forcing residents to lock themselves indoors.
“In fact, Sanusi was sitting on the bonnet of his car right in front of his house when the gunmen suddenly appeared and abducted him,” Daniel recounted.
Sources disclosed that the victim is a senior staff member of the Local Education Authority (LEA) in Abaji Area Council.As of the time of filing this report, the FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said the command was not yet aware of the incident.
