Osun Relaxes Igbajo Curfew from 24 Hours to 10 Hours Daily as Calm ReturnsOsogbo, December 6, 2025Governor Ademola Adeleke has eased the round-the-clock curfew earlier imposed on Igbajo town, reducing it to a 10-hour daily restriction (timing to be announced by security agencies) with immediate effect.
The decision follows credible security reports showing “clear improvements and a gradual return to peace and order” in the community, which had witnessed unrest in recent days.
In a statement signed by the governor, Adeleke commended traditional rulers, community leaders, security operatives and law-abiding residents of Igbajo for their cooperation in restoring calm.
“We are witnessing encouraging signs of normalcy. However, caution is still required,” he said.
While relaxing the curfew, the governor directed all security agencies to sustain aggressive patrols and maintain maximum presence in the area to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
He appealed to residents to continue to embrace peace and shun any act capable of dragging the town backward, stressing that government remains committed to lasting harmony in Igbajo and across Osun State.
