The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has declared that corruption is masking the vast blessings and resources bestowed by God upon Nigeria, preventing the country from realising its full potential.
In his Christmas message delivered on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, Olukoyede described corruption as a major setback, urging Nigerians to confront it more decisively to allow God's abundant life to manifest fully in the nation.
"We should confront it more fiercely to allow the abundant life of God manifest in our nation," he stated, calling for collective resistance against corrupt practices to build a stronger, more prosperous, and respected Nigeria.
The EFCC boss encouraged citizens to embrace Christian values of love, light, and hope, which he said are essential for national progress.
He also urged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, expressing optimism that it would ignite fresh confidence and rekindle belief in Nigeria's ability to overcome its challenges.
"Let the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr President ignite fresh hopes of revival in us that Nigeria will rise again," Olukoyede added.
