The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has noted that his prophecy on the performance of the Super Eagles at the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON, tournament is being misrepresented and misinterpreted.
This is coming after several individuals have verbally attacked the prophet for ‘predicting’ the non-performance of Ademola Lookman, which, according to them, was proved wrong with the winning goal scored by the player.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele stated that some mischievous individuals are behind the misrepresentation of his prophecy, while making it known that he wasn’t talking about the match against Tanzania but the tournament as a whole.
The prophet narrated that his prophecy is being twisted for a mischievous agenda, while maintaining that his prophecy regarding Lookman stands.
He urged his critics to wait for time to reveal the outcome of the prophecy instead of judging with just one match played.
Primate Ayodele said: “My prophecy about Ademola Lookman in the ongoing AFCON tournament is being misrepresented and misunderstood by mischievous individuals for reasons best known to themselves.
“The prophecy was a warning, and what I said was that Lookman will not help the team in the tournament, not exactly the match against Tanzania.
“This is just the beginning of the match. We have just started the game and played only one match already; we should all wait before attacking the prophecy. One game cannot judge our performance in the tournament.”
Speaking further, Primate Ayodele stated that he wants the Nigerian team to win the cup, and this is the reason behind his warnings.
He maintained that Nigeria can get to the final if the team listens to advice.
“It would be my greatest joy if the Nigerian team wins, but that can only happen if they listen to advice. I have always rooted for the Nigerian team and this is why my prophecies about them always come up. I want them to lift the trophy and come back home victorious, but it will only happen if advices are listened to,” he added.
