Nigerian Army troops under Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) operatives, have intercepted a large cache of logistics supplies believed to belong to Boko Haram terrorists along the Damasak–Kareto road in northern Borno State.
The discovery was made around 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, 21 November 2025, during a routine patrol at Mamu Goni Bukarti, a known insurgent transit and resupply point along the strategic corridor.
Items recovered from the abandoned stockpile include:
12 blankets and 12 baby mattresses.
6 small cooking pots, plate sets, and 4 × 5-litre containers of vegetable oil.
18 × 4-litre bottles of Ammasco engine oil and 60 × 1-litre bottles of gear oil.
20 tricycle rims, 1 grinding machine engine, 3 bundles of fan belts, and assorted vehicle maintenance materials.
8 packs of welding electrodes, 49 cutting wheels, and multiple packs of nails.
5 bundles of rubber slippers, 11 rolls of 30-yard fabric, 12 towels, and baby clothing.
12 shovels, 15 packs of fish hooks, 1 weighing scale, and other household and construction items.
Military sources described the cache as a “significant logistics lifeline” intended to sustain terrorist cells operating in the Lake Chad axis.
The recovered materials have been taken into custody for further exploitation and analysis. No arrests were made as the supplies appeared to have been hastily abandoned.
The Army says intensified patrols and dominance operations will continue along the Damasak–Kareto Mallam Fatori axis to disrupt terrorist supply chains and prevent re-infiltration ahead of the dry-season campaign.
