Troops Rescue 15 Kidnap Victims in Kogi Forest


Operations Joint security forces, spearheaded by the Nigerian Army, have successfully freed 15 kidnapped individuals from their captors' hideouts in the forests of Ajaokuta and Itobe areas in Kogi State.


According to intelligence gathered by Zagazola Makama, the rescue mission was initiated on credible tips about the victims' whereabouts, employing tear gas to overwhelm and dislodge the kidnappers.


The rescued victims identified include Joe Stephen (35), Gift Alex, Samaila Mohamed, Sani Mahamud, Abbas Sani, Abdullahi Aminu, Ibrahim Gambo, Ishaku Ibrahim, and Muhammed Salisu. 


The remaining six are receiving medical treatment in hospitals, with statements collected from all freed individuals as investigations get underway.


In a related operation along the Ayere, Kabba road, three additional victims—Usman (male, from Nasarawa State), Isah Idris (male, from Niger State), and Morina William (female, from Gombe State) were liberated from a forest den after their abduction on November 7.
