The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has disbursed ₦3.9 billion in arrears to 31,146 eligible pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS), fulfilling part of the ₦32 billion increment approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Announced in a press release on Friday, November 14, 2025, the payment breakdown is as follows:
Parastatals Pension Department: ₦1.9 billion to 59,865 pensioners
Civil Service Pension Department: ₦830 million to 12,876 pensioners
Police Pension Department: ₦620 million to 9,589 pensioners
Customs, Immigration, and Prisons Pension Department: ₦551 million to 8,816 pensioners
PTAD Executive Secretary, Tolulope A. Odunaiya, reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to clearing outstanding arrears and enhancing pensioners’ welfare under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
