Police in Niger State have arrested four suspected kidnappers and several accomplices following the abduction of ten people between Koso Likoro and Soba villages in Mashegu Local Government Area.
Security sources revealed that a joint operation tracked the suspects to a hideout in Ibbi Forest, leading to the arrest of three prime suspects: Sanda Dan, Mallam Wantau, and Atiku.
During interrogation, the arrested individuals reportedly confessed to the crime and named their accomplices: Buba Maiyara, Mantile Alh Majo, and Bilya Musa Baushe, all residents of Koso village.
In a follow-up operation, Manu Malami Shehu Maiyara was also apprehended. He reportedly admitted that his son, Buba Maiyara, and his associates were behind the kidnappings and widespread cattle rustling in the area.
The police have stated that investigations are ongoing.
