The Lagos State APC has declared Peter Obi’s loss in his own polling unit during the Anambra governorship election as proof of his plummeting popularity and the collapse of the “Obidient movement.
”In a scathing statement, Lagos APC Publicity Secretary Seye Oladejo described the defeat as “not merely a loss, but a public humiliation” that exposes Obi’s influence as “a political hologram bright on social media, empty in real life.”
“The people who know him best, his neighbours, his community, his natural base have delivered an unmistakable verdict: We reject you. We don’t trust you. We’ve seen through you,” Oladejo said.
He accused Obi of building his image on “self-righteous monologues, manufactured statistics, emotional manipulation, and victimhood,” while failing to secure support at home.“
A man who cannot win his polling unit has no business dreaming of leading a nation,” Oladejo asserted, warning Obi against seeking foreign sympathy after domestic rejection.
Contrasting Obi’s rhetoric with President Bola Tinubu’s governance, he said: “While Tinubu rebuilds institutions, fixes the economy, and attracts investment, Obi peddles contradictions and hides behind collapsing hashtags.”Oladejo concluded:
“The APC’s victory in Obi’s unit is symbolic and prophetic. Performance is defeating propaganda. If he can’t command trust on his street, he should forget 2027.”
