Members of the National Economic Council (NEC) Committee on Revamping Police and Security Training Institutions, led by Chairman Governor Peter Mbah, have toured the Police Training School in Nonwa, Rivers State, and the Police College in Enugu.
The inspections underscore President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to modernizing Nigeria’s security training facilities.
In a statement, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun emphasized that professionalism and discipline among officers require training environments that promote integrity, excellence, and respect for human dignity.
He praised the President’s approval of 30,000 new police recruits, noting their training will occur in upgraded, 21st-century-compliant facilities.
“This is a national mission to restore confidence, morale, and professionalism in our security architecture,” Abiodun declared.
