Morocco to host 2025 CAF awards ceremony on November 19 [FULL LIST OF NOMINEES]


 The Confederation of African Football has announced that the 2025 edition of the CAF Awards will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.


According to a statement posted on the CAF website on Friday, the event, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. local time (7 p.m. Nigerian time), will celebrate Africa’s top footballers, coaches, clubs, and national teams for their outstanding performances over the past year.


Nigeria once again take centre stage, with several of its stars among the frontrunners for major honours.


On the men’s side, Super Eagles players Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali, and youth player Daniel Bameyi are flying the Nigerian flag.


Osimhen, who won the CAF African Player of the Year 2023, is again shortlisted for the top men’s prize after another stellar year in Europe.


Stanley Nwabali (Chippa United) is competing for Goalkeeper of the Year, while Daniel Bameyi (Primorje, Slovenia) is nominated for Young Player of the Year.


In the African Women’s Player of the Year category, Super Falcons players Rasheedat Ajibade (Atletico Madrid) and Esther Okoronkwo join a strong 10-player shortlist, while Chiamaka Nnadozie has earned a nomination for Goalkeeper of the Year.
