The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has taken a transformative step toward institutional excellence by officially signing Performance Bond Contracts, fully implementing the Performance Management System (PMS) across its ranks.
The historic ceremony occurred today at the Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau Conference Hall, Nigerian Correctional Service Headquarters, Abuja, during the Ministry of Interior’s Sectoral Capacity Building Training on PMS.
Controller General Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, FCNA, ACTI who first signed his own bond at the Ministerial Retreat in Zuma Resort, Suleja (August 27–30, 2025), under Honourable Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo—cascaded the process to all Directorates led by Deputy Controllers-General of Fire.
Each Directorate committed to PMS goals, pledging measurable outcomes in fire prevention, rescue operations, and emergency management nationwide.
“This is a contract of responsibility and excellence,” CG Adeyemi declared, stressing that accountability will extend to every officer through individual performance contracts.
The initiative, supervised by the Ministry of Interior’s Department of Human Resources, reinforces Nigeria’s public sector reform agenda for transparency and results-driven governance.
Under CG Adeyemi’s leadership, the FFS aims to boost response times, elevate professionalism, and restore public trust in its mission to safeguard lives and property.
