FAAC Shares N2.094 Trillion October 2025 Revenue Among Federal, State, Local Govts


The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N2.094 trillion from the October 2025 federation revenue to the three tiers of government.The distribution was approved at the November 2025 FAAC meeting held in Abuja.


The N2.094 trillion distributable revenue comprised:

Statutory revenue: N1.376 trillion 

Value Added Tax (VAT): N670.303 billion 

Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): N47.870 billion

 

According to the official communiqué issued on Wednesday, total gross revenue available in October 2025 stood at N2.934 trillion. 


From this amount, N115.278 billion was deducted as cost of collection, while transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings amounted to N724.603 billion.


Breakdown of Gross Revenue SourcesGross statutory revenue: N2.164 trillion (an increase of N36.832 billion from September 2025’s N2.128 trillion) 

Gross VAT revenue: N719.827 billion (a decrease of N152.803 billion from September 2025’s N872.630 billion)

State Governments: N689.120 billion

Local Government Councils: N505.803 billion

13% Derivation (mineral-producing states): N141.359 billion

Local Governments: N254.442 billion

From N47.870 billion Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL):Federal Government: N7.180 billion

States: N23.935 billion

Local Governments: N16.755 billion 

 

The communiqué noted significant increases in Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Hydrocarbon Tax, Companies Income Tax on Upstream Activities, Oil & Gas Royalties, Import Duty, Excise Duty, and CET Levies during the month. 


However, Value Added Tax (VAT), EMTL, and certain fees recorded declines compared to September 2025.
