Chelsea have climbed up into second position in the Premier League table, with a 2-0 victory over Burnley in Saturday’s early kick-off.
The Blues went into the November international break on the
back of a comprehensive 3-0 drubbing of Wolves.
And Enzo Maresca’s men went about making it straight wins
with an early goal from Pedro Neto.
Neto was on the end of a scooped cross from Jamies Gittens
to open the scoring, as Chelsea went into half time 1-0 up.
Although Burnley fought back in a bid to level the match, it
was Chelsea who struck again through midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
The result means they now have 23 points, one more than
Manchester City, who travel to Newcastle later in the evening.
They remain three points behind leaders Arsenal.
