The family of Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, is reeling from profound grief after the sudden deaths of his son and grandson within a 48-hour span.
On Friday, one of Senator Moro’s grandsons passed away in an Abuja hospital following a brief illness.
The following evening, tragedy struck again when the senator’s son, Mr. Peter Moro, died in a fatal car accident.Sources close to the family revealed that Peter, who had recently returned from Turkey, was preparing for his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation before the crash claimed his life.
As of now, Senator Moro’s office has not released an official statement.The heartbreaking news has sparked widespread condolences from across Nigeria.
Colleagues in the National Assembly, political allies, and constituents from Benue South have expressed deep sorrow, calling the losses “unimaginably painful.”
Senator Moro, a former Minister of Interior and a prominent opposition voice in the 10th Senate, is known for his calm leadership and strong ties to his Benue South constituency.
