President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived back in Abuja today, October 6, 2025, concluding a 10-day working visit to Lagos, where he engaged with prominent investors and global leaders to advance Nigeria’s economic and maritime sectors.
The trip followed his attendance at the coronation of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, in Ibadan on September 26.
During his time in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub, President Tinubu held strategic meetings with key figures, including Bayo Ogunlesi, CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners, and Keem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital Partners.
He also met with Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation, alongside Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola.
The discussions shows Tinubu’s commitment to developing Nigeria’s maritime industry as a sustainable alternative to fossil energy.
On the eve of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day, the President visited Imo State to commission projects spearheaded by Governor Hope Uzodimma and unveiled a book by the governor documenting a decade of APC governance.
Tinubu delivered the Independence Day national broadcast from Dodan Barracks and commissioned the renovated National Theatre, renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, urging Nigerians to promote a positive national image.
On October 4, President Tinubu attended the funeral of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of APC chairman Professor Nantawe Yilwatda, in Jos, Plateau State.
There, he paid tribute to her legacy and reassured Northern Christian communities of his administration’s dedication to fairness and equity across all religious groups.
The President’s return to Abuja marks the resumption of his duties at the State House, with a focus on advancing the economic and social priorities outlined during his working visit.
