President Bola Tinubu delivered an inspiring message to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, emphasizing hope, collective action, and national pride.
In his address, posted on his official social media channels, Tinubu called on Nigerians to unlock the nation’s potential by focusing on productivity, innovation, and enterprise.Highlighting ongoing economic reforms, the President assured citizens that the federal government is committed to addressing systemic challenges, likening it to fixing the “plumbing” of the economy.
He praised the Ministry of Interior for streamlining passport processing as an example of efficient governance and urged sub-national entities to join the federal government in nation-building efforts.
Tinubu emphasized the importance of shifting Nigeria from a consumer-driven economy to one of production. “Let us farm our land and build factories to process our produce.
Let us patronise ‘Made-in-Nigeria’ goods. I say Nigeria first,” he declared, encouraging citizens to support local industries and fulfill their tax obligations.
The President concluded with a call for unity and optimism, assuring Nigerians that a prosperous, self-reliant future is within reach.
“With Almighty God on our side, I can assure you that the dawn of a new, prosperous, self-reliant Nigeria is here,” he stated.
Tinubu extended his best wishes to all Nigerians, saying, “Happy 65th Independence Anniversary, and may God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
