The Naira recorded its third consecutive appreciation
against the United States dollar this week on Wednesday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira
firmed up slightly to N1,463.44 against the dollar on Wednesday from N1,463.45
exchanged on Tuesday.
This means that on a day-to-day basis the Naira strengthened
slightly by N0.01.
However, in the last three days, the country’s currency has
gained N11.91 per dollar when compared to the exchange rate last Friday, 17th
October 2025.
At the parallel foreign exchange market, the Naira remained
flat at N1,500 per dollar on Wednesday, the same rate as on Tuesday, Abubakar
Alhasan confirmed to DAILY POST on Wednesday.
Nigeria’s external reserves stood at $42.79 billion as of
20th October 2025.
Recall that the naira had continued appreciation against the
dollar on Tuesday.
