Lionel Messi has been awarded the 2025 MLS Golden Boot by league commissioner Don Garber, having scored an impressive 29 goals in 28 regular-season matches for Inter Miami.
This marks the Argentine forward’s ninth career league Golden Boot, further cementing his legacy as one of football’s all-time greats.

His first goal came in the 23rd minute, a diving header from a pinpoint assist by teammate Luis Suárez. He added a second in the 54th minute with a trademark left-footed curler, bending the ball into the net with precision.
The win gave Inter Miami a 1-0 lead in their best-of-three first-round playoff series.Messi’s impact extended beyond goals, as he also recorded 10 assists during the regular season, contributing significantly to Inter Miami’s attacking prowess.
