Stellar Steel Company Limited, a subsidiary of Galaxy Group and China-based RSIN Group, is set to commence operations in Ogun State by mid-2026.
The $450 million investment will focus on producing hot-rolled coil steel, iron steel doors, and gas cylinders, a development expected to significantly cut Nigeria’s steel import costs.During a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, RSIN Group Vice Chairman You Xiaotan confirmed the project is on track for completion next year.
Xiaotan also noted that Ogun’s booming economy is attracting more investors from Fujian Province, China.
Governor Abiodun reaffirmed Ogun’s status as Nigeria’s industrial hub and pledged continued support for investors through streamlined approval processes and efficient issuance of Certificates of Occupancy.
He further assured Stellar Steel of potential waivers, tariffs, or reliefs via the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment to facilitate a smooth setup.
