Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi will miss the team’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs tie with Gabon due to suspension.
Ajayi, who plays for Sky Bet Championship club, Hull City, received his second yellow card in the qualifying series against Benin Republic on Tuesday.
The centre-back was booked in the 55th minute of the encounter for a foul on Benin Republic goalkeeper, Saturnin Allagbe.
It can be recalled, the former West Bromwich Albion star was first cautioned against Lesotho in a matchday one encounter on November 16, 2023.
Meanwhile, Lookman, who missed the clash with Benin due to suspension will return for the clash with Gabon.
The game against Gabon will hold in Morocco on Thursday, 13 November.
