Air Peace cabin crew member, Victory Maduneme, has given the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB, 72 hours to retract a drug allegation against her or face legal action.
Maduneme gave this ultimatum on Friday while responding to
questions in an interview on Arise Television.
She expressed shock to have been handed a positive test
result of marijuana by NSIB.
“I was shocked when I was given a test result that said I
had marijuana in my system.
“I was told marijuana stays in the system for 90 days, but
when they carried out the follow-up test, I tested negative.
“If NSIB is doing a smear campaign against the airline, it
should keep the innocent people away from this. If not for the kindness of my
chairman, they would have sacked me and blacklisted me.
“And once that is done, no airline in the world will pick
me, because now they’ve painted me as this person that has drug in her system.
“This is really very bad. And if in the next 72 hours, NSIB
does not come and retract whatever it has said against me, then I think we
should sue. This is pure defamation of character,” she said.
