Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) troops have dealt a significant blow to Boko Haram/ISWAP operations, apprehending three suspected logistics suppliers during a stop-and-search along the Maiduguri–Konduga road in Borno State on September 25.
The suspects, Tijjani Ali (49), Isiyaka Hassan (25), and Ali Idris (19), were caught with five jerricans of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) concealed in a “Ghana-must-go” bag.
Two of the suspects, identified as fuel attendants at AY Shettima Investment Ltd on Bama road, are under investigation.
In a separate operation between September 19 and 25 in Mubi, Adamawa State, troops seized 21 jerricans of smuggled fuel and large quantities of urea fertilizer, believed to be destined for insurgent groups in the North East.
The intercepts have severely disrupted the terrorists’ logistics and improvised explosive device (IED) production networks, according to intelligence reports.
