A middle-aged trader, Bosede Iluyemi, has been accused of causing the death of her elder sister, Omowumi Tewogboye, during a heated argument over an N800 debt.
The dispute reportedly arose when Bosede demanded repayment for tomatoes and pepper Omowumi had bought on credit.
According to reports, the confrontation turned violent when Bosede grabbed Omowumi’s clothes, leading to a fall that caused severe injuries.
Omowumi was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.The Ondo State Police Command acted promptly, arresting Bosede and detaining her for questioning.
DSP Olusola Ayanlade, the police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway to ensure justice is served.
