President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to the leaders and members of Eko Club International (ECI) as the organization marks its 25th anniversary this month.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday, Tinubu lauded ECI for its unwavering commitment to promoting harmony, good governance, and development worldwide.
Tinubu, whose vision inspired the founding of ECI during his exile years, commended the club for its remarkable contributions to preserving Lagos’s rich cultural heritage and driving impactful initiatives.
These include sponsoring medical outreach programs, providing scholarships to underprivileged students, funding skill acquisition projects, and supporting entrepreneurship, all of which have empowered communities both in Nigeria and abroad.
Highlighting ECI’s global reach, the statement noted the organization’s growth to 25 active chapters across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Europe.
Tinubu described ECI’s journey as a testament to its enduring influence, positioning it as a beacon for future generations.
The President urged ECI’s leadership and members to reflect on their achievements and gear up for even greater contributions.
