The Super Eagles of Nigeria will kick off their training camp today, September 1, 2025, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, as they prepare for pivotal 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and South Africa.

According to a statement from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), a one-man advance party from the Rwandan team will arrive in Lagos on Monday, with the full Rwandan delegation landing on Tuesday at 1:15 pm via Rwanda Airlines.

The team will then travel to Uyo by 4 pm that day for Saturday’s must-win encounter. Three days later, Nigeria will face South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in another critical Group C match.

Currently, the Super Eagles sit fourth in Group C with seven points after six matches, trailing group leaders South Africa, who have 13 points. Lesotho hold six points, while Zimbabwe have four points, making the upcoming matches vital for Nigeria’s World Cup qualification hopes.
