Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Friday officially returned to the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt, marking the end of a six-month suspension and political uncertainty in the oil-rich state.
Fubara will make a state broadcast by 6 pm today to thank stakeholders for restoring peace in the state and to reassure residents of his administration’s commitment.
Fubara disclosed this shortly after his return to Port Harcourt on Friday, where he was welcomed by a large crowd at the airport.
“We are going to address the state officially by 6 pm., and in that broadcast, we will appreciate everyone who brought normalcy to this state,” he said.
