A tragic incident occurred in Life Camp, Abuja, when a Deputy Superintendent of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) accidentally shot and k!lled a colleague on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at approximately 10:20 a.m.
According to security analyst reports, DSC Adekunle Emmanuel was fatally shot in the left upper arm above the bicep by a fellow operative while traveling to a principal’s residence at Lias Estate from Corner View Hotel.
The victim was rushed to Maitama General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His body has been placed in the hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The officer responsible for the shooting is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the accidental discharge.
