The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), under the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, sealed 26 bars and lounges in Lekki Phase 1 on Wednesday for persistent noise pollution and operating open bars despite repeated warnings.
The enforcement targeted prominent venues such as Farm City, Kingfisher, Beer Barn, Sailors Lounge, Bay Lounge, Circa Lagos, HQ Rooftop Lounge, Rango Rooftop Lounge, and The Mood Lagos, among others.
Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab, in a statement, said the crackdown followed numerous resident complaints about excessive noise and non-compliance with environmental regulations.
He emphasized that the Lagos State government will not tolerate environmental infractions, and violators will face prosecution under state laws.
