The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom
Wike, has disclosed that he is ready to present his scorecard anytime to the
people of Abuja.
Wike said he was not made the FCT Minister for beauty parade
but to work.
The minister spoke during the flag off of the construction
of Access Roads ILS 02 and ILS 03 (Timipre Sylva Street) in Mabushi District,
Abuja.
He said: “Everybody should be committed because I have
said that whether you are a civil servant or National Assembly member, a time
will come when they will say operation show your report card.
“You can’t run away from it, for us in the FCT, let the
residents of FCT call us and say come show your report card and tell us what
you have done. We are prepared any day, any time to say look, people of Abuja
this is what we have there done.
“It’s not about liking our faces, you don’t need to like
our faces. We didn’t come here for a beauty contest but to work and we’re going
to work.
“So everything has time for you to give your report card. We
are ready, in the morning, afternoon and at night to give our reported card.”
The minister also disclosed that he can’t give excuses to
President Bola Tinubu, hence the need to work.
“My sister, my friend, my brother, I don’t give excuses at
all. If you want to achieve, I’m going to support you to achieve,” he added.
