Katsina State Governor, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, accompanied by senior government officials, visited the resting place of former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura on September 8, 2025.
The solemn visit was marked by prayers for the soul of the late leader, seeking Allah’s mercy and eternal peace.
The delegation, which included key members of the Katsina State Executive Council, gathered at the garden of Buhari’s residence, where he was laid to rest on July 15, 2025, following his passing in a London clinic.
The visit signifies the deep connection between Buhari, a Daura native, and the people of Katsina, as well as Radda’s personal admiration for the former president.
During the visit, Governor Radda paid tribute to Buhari, describing him as a “father figure” and an “embodiment of the common man’s aspirations.”
He reflected on Buhari’s legacy, stating, “From his days as a military leader to his presidency, he remained rooted in Katsina and committed to serving Nigeria. His life inspires us to prioritize the people.”
The governor and his team offered heartfelt prayers for Buhari’s soul, seeking divine forgiveness and eternal rest.
This visit follows Radda’s emotional presence at Buhari’s funeral, where he was seen weeping as the former president’s body was interred.
