The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has shortlisted 53 candidates for the next phase of the federal permanent secretary recruitment, where they will take an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) proficiency test.
Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations, announced on Tuesday that the candidates were selected from 70 who completed the written examination.
The ICT test, scheduled for today, will evaluate their digital skills, deemed essential for modern governance leadership.
Head of the Civil Service, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, emphasized the importance of ICT proficiency in aligning with the government’s vision for a technology-driven civil service.
“The selection of 53 candidates reflects our commitment to excellence in public service leadership, ensuring only those with proven competence, integrity, and vision advance,” she said.
The recruitment process, conducted with transparency and fairness, supports the federal government’s reform agenda for a professional and future-ready public service.
The government aims to appoint five new permanent secretaries: one each for the Federal Capital Territory Administration and Imo State, and three for rotational zonal positions in the North-Central, North-East, and South-East geopolitical zones.
